Meghan Markle royal entrance in gold dress at NYC gala

Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle, wearing a gold dress, arrived at a New York event last Tuesday to receive the "Women of Vision" award, in the presence of her husband Prince Harry and mother Doria Ragland.

A Golden Choice in Line with the Award's Goal

According to Town & Country magazine, Meghan Markle chose for this occasion a gold dress designed by Joanna Ortez, in compliance with the feminist goal of empowering women represented by the award.

Meghan made a simple modification to the Ideal Universe dress by removing the shoulder straps.

Gold is the Title of her Basic Look

Meghan did not settle for this amount of gold, but made gold the title of her basic look, wearing gold sandals from Tom Ford to complement her tight dress and front slit, and carrying a Metropolitan Insignia bag from Carolina Herrera in gold.

According to foreign media, Meghan wore diamond bracelets on her left wrist, including a Cartier Love bracelet in yellow gold and another Cartier bracelet that belonged to the late Princess Diana.

An Unexpected Twist

Strikingly, Meghan wore earrings from JC Penny, an affordable brand.

Meghan said during the ceremony: "It is never too late to start, you can be a visionary of your can determine how daily acts of kindness, done with gentleness, advocacy and fairness, qualities recognized by other women small and large, become your life's work.

Meghan told attendees how as a child she rushed home from school to read Ms. Magazine, a feminist magazine founded by Gloria Steinem.

On stage, the Duchess embraced the 89-year-old Steinem and praised her, just as she congratulated the other honorees during the ceremony and praised them.

It is noted that the ceremony was held ten days after King Charles was crowned King of the United Kingdom.
